Just an update.

I have decided that I really don't like to drive. I was driving home from work the other night and I just wanted to look at all the Christmas lights and sit back and relax. But alas, I had to watch the road. My car doesn't have cruise control and my legs didn't want to be in the drive position. Driving is not my favorite.
I'm very excited for tomorrow.
I'm meeting Janelle downtown for some Christmas shopping. I'm taking the train down, and Nell will pick me up. I love spending time with my sisters!

The New Moon movie.

I took last Friday night off because I went to see New Moon with a bunch of friends from work.
One of my friends bought out an entire theater and then sold the tickets and made a huge party of it. I got 2 tickets and Kyle and I showed up at the theater at 6pm for the 701 showing. We finally got to go inside the theater at 630 and then the fun began. There was a New Moon trivia. I won a set of Twilight buttons. The question was "What color were Edwards eyes when he was a human?"
Then there was a raffle. I got the New Moon soundtrack for helping yell out the numbers, because I can yell over the propellers engine at the airport and passengers can hear me.
So then the movie finally started and everyone was so excited and was yelling and clapping then... a couple of ya-hoos started taking pictures. Two minutes into the movie is stops and the manager comes to the front and says that taking pictures is a Federal offense. Then some other ya-hoo yells out "Your a Federal Offense!" People around him start shushing him and shoving him to be quiet. The manager says if it continues the movie will be turned off.
The movie begins again and no other incidences. But it was lots of fun.
I thought they stayed much more on story than Twilight. And the effects were better! Just goes to show what they can do with a budget.
I'm looking forward to seeing it with my sisters on Tuesday.
Go TEAM EDWARD!

The tripthat wasn't.

This weekend I was suppose to visit my sister in Palms Springs. Alas flight loads totally filled up and I wouldn't be able to get back. So I looked at visiting the folks in Denver... couldn't get back, Jay... couldn't get back. Spence... couldn't get back.
So I stayed home and slept a lot. I feel a lot better. I also crafted a lot this weekend. I made 7 new lanyards and recycled grocery bags into a crocheted bag that is very sturdy.

Sunday.

Yesterday started out like any other Sunday. The sun was really bright and back ground getting ready for church noise was a little too loud though. I just thought that the sun was really really REALLY bright.
We get to church and we have primary first and I'm sitting with my kids and wow, everyone is really noisy today. I think they had too much sugar cereal. Then it's singing time and the light is getting brighter and the kids are getting louder and louder... do you see where I'm going?
Now it's time for class and I get up and I'm dizzy and a little nauseous. We go into our room and the light is off but it's still too bright. Kyle comes to me and says what's wrong. "I'm getting a migraine." Kyle gives me the keys to the car and then I remember that I have my own. Somehow I make it home. I'm wearing my sunglasses in the house it's just too bright. I take some benidryl because it makes me sleepy and some ibuprofen. I get a cold wet wash cloth and climb into bed.
I woke up 2 1/2 hrs later. Kyle is home from church. I have supper, then sleep for another 3 or 4 hours. Then re medicate and slept for about 10 hrs.
I feel better now. Just a fringe of a headache but at least I can see again.

I am so scared!

I am a HUGE fan of Doctor Who. It's on at 11pm on Saturday night on channel 7. If you are not familiar with the Doctor; he is a time lord that travels through time and space. He has all sorts of crazy adventures with creatures and baddies from different dementions and time. He travels through time in a "police box" that is super tiny on the outside and huge inside. He also has a human companion that changes every season or so.
The cool thing about being a time lord is that if the actors contract is up, well he just morphs into a new actor, but the actor is the same Doctor Who. He looks totally different but has all the same memories and he is always referred to as the Doctor.
Here is the current Doctor.

Normally the scary level of Doctor Who is about Star Trek the Next Gen.
But tonight... it was X-Files.
I kept seeing the creepy villains while I was trying to sleep about an hour later. So now I'm listening to my Primary CD and feel better.
But I still love the Doctor.

Holy smokes!

So I was watching the news last night and there was a teaser about a teacher being arrested for abusing teenage girls. In the blurb there was a photo but no name...

I see his picture and gasp loudly... "That's Mr. Cody!" So of course I stay tuned and sure enough it's Mr. John Cody that taught me Social Studies in High School.

I'd forgotten all about him like most of my high school days and teachers, but seeing his picture brought back ookie feelings about his class.

New and Improved...

Last week I got a hair cut. I really like it. What do you think?
