Just sitting at work

Well I'm on break for a little bit and I have a computer that has the Internet. So I have my sentries posted looking out for supervisors that wish me ill for using the Internet whilst at work.
Just an update on our life for the past week or so.
Mom and I went to San Jose to visit Jay and Sarah. It was a great weekend. I loved every second of the trip. Sarah was the perfect hostess and Jay was a great driver. It was a blast. I loved being in Sarah's primary class. It was wonderful. On the Monday before we left, they took me to the beach and Mom visited with cousin Melinda.
The beach was so enchanting. I do have pictures and will post them later.
The bummer thing that happened. The Sunday that I was gone the 18th, Kyle was having dinner at his cousin's house and someone hit and ran our car.
Arg.... no note no anything. It was very frustrating. And then the next day, Gary, Kyle's dad, fell and broke his hip. He had surgery and is doing well.
We just got our car back yesterday and it is so nice to drive our Aries again.
I am recovering from a cold that I got last week from the pollution and then spending 8hrs in a fog bank. Kyle is so good. He made tacos last night and cleaned up all the dishes while I went visiting teaching.
That's our life.

I'm on FIRE!

So with my elliptical dead and I have no good cardio work out tapes I was on the look out for some good ones. Since I love The Biggest Loser so much I thought that I would get their tapes. A friend at work got the new ones by Bob and said they were good. Jillian is my hero and I wanted hers. Alas I couldn't find hers at Wal-Mart but I did in the bargin bin at Shop-ko.
Yesterday I did Jillian's.
I am surprised I can still walk. My legs are still on fire. HOLY SMOKIES. DUDE. It was a great work out. AND it was only on level 1. There are 3 different levels. It is cycle training. Warm up, light cardio with weights, heavier cardio, weights, carido, weights, cardio, weights, cardio, weights cool down. It hurts. It was one of the best workouts I've ever done. Jillian is a great motivator. She's really tough but encouraging.

Today I did Bob's work out. I just knew that my legs would fall off if I tried to do Jillian's again. Bob's work out was really good. I liked it a lot. It had some of my favorite cast members working out with Bob. Alli looks really good. What I like about it is at the beginning of the DVD you set your workout. It gives you options to add to the workout: warm up, level 1, 2, 3, and cool down. I did the warm up, level 1 and cool down. It was burning really good. It wasn't as hard as Jillian. I think the perfect compliment to each other's workouts. What I didn't like is there was about 10 -20 sec blank screen while the next choice down loaded.
My legs hurt. But I want to get ready for San Diego. I hope I can get ready for it in time.

I heard a rumor.

As most everyone knows I am a HUGE Broadway fan. It's true I confess it gladly. I love watching live theater!
Well I heard a rumor that Jennifer Garner, of Alias fame, was going to star in a Broadway production of Cyrano. I thought truthfully. Man... stick to action. You're really good at giving bad guys round house kicks to the face. I didn't think it would go well.
What I didn't know was that Kevin Kline was Cyrano. I just finished watching it on PBS. It was spectacular.
Christian... was cute. Kevin was as always perfection. Jennifer... was a little stiff.

I love the scene in the pub house when Cyrano gets into the fight with a Vi count somebody and composes the poem.
And I have to say the balcony scene was one of my favorites. So so so Funny!
I am looking forward to seeing it again. I cried for 10 min after the play. I used 2 tissues. It was beautiful.
I recommend it.

09 is starting fine

Kyle and I rang in the New Year with some left over fireworks. (Thanks Nell). It was lots of fun. After the fireworks we opened a bottle of chilled sparkling apple cider. I downed it.
On the 2nd we went to the temple and had a wonderful time. Saturday the 3rd I donated platelets and we got our new licence plates for Aries.
Sunday we met our new primary class. They are 6 turning 7. We have 6 girls and 2 boys on the roll. They seem like a good bunch of kids.
Yesterday I went to exercise on the elliptical machine and it made a horrible noise and the right paddle was angled down. Upon further inspection today, the rear peg that attached to the peddle has broken half of it's sauntering. There is fine Wal-Mart craftsmanship for you. So now, I'm not sure what we're going to do about it.
But for exercise today I did my Hula for Health for 20 min and a Palates for 30 min. My tummy hurts now. But I wish I could have done some great cardio or that there was a good gym near me.
hmmmm. I think I am starting to ramble.
